WHITEWORK
Whitework, as the name implies, is any embroidery utilizing white thread on white fabric. There are techniques unique to whitework including pulledwork, cutwork, and drawn thread work. Pulledwork uses thread tension to create a lacy pattern in the fabric.
HEIRLOOM
Heirloom Sewing is a mixture of machine and hand sewing techniques involving lace and fine fabrics such as swiss batiste or lawn. These garments are one of a kind pieces perfect for big events such as christenings, newborn photos, easter, etc. Or order a simple daygown for everyday use.

CREWELWORK
Crewelwork traditionally uses wool threads to create designs using a variety of outline and filling stitches. Now a variety of thread types add texture and shine to traditional stitch.
GOLDWORK
Goldwork utilizes metal threads plated in gold or silver or sometimes in more modern designs multicolored synthetic metallic threads. The designs are eye-catching and great for special events. Due to the nature of metal threads will tarnish with age but it only adds to the character of your one of a kind piece.
BEADING
Beads can add texture and shine to any embroidery piece! There are many different beading techniques including tambour beading, canvaswork beading, hand beading, and even beaded fringe.
APPLIQUÉ
Appliqué is a technique of sewing different fabrics onto a larger fabric ground to create a collage of sorts. Appliqué is great for creating textured pieces.
NEEDLEPOINT
Also known as canvaswork or petit point this technique can create beautiful traditional and sturdy designs. Often needlepoint is used for items that will get a lot of wear such as belts, key chains, hats, etc. More decorative stitches can be utilized for larger items such as stockings.
BLACKWORK
Blackwork uses different weight black threads on an evenweave fabric, usually linen, to create a visually compelling geometric patterned design. This technique is great for creating shading.
TAMBOUR
Tambour stitching utilizes a hook instead of a needle and is often worked on the wrong side of the fabric. Tambour creates extremely strong beading work and is great for large beaded designs such as purses.
